Salboheds engages with Nordic industry leaders to advance sustainable, high-performance data centre infrastructure.
As part of Nordic Datacentre Week 2025 (22–26 September), Patrick Hamilton Walsh, Chief Innovation Officer at Salboheds, represented the company at the SweDCI & Schneider Electric Members Meeting on 23 September in Solna, Sweden.
The event gathered key stakeholders from across the Nordic data centre ecosystem — from infrastructure developers and energy providers to technology innovators — to explore how collaboration, sustainability, and innovation can shape the future of digital infrastructure in the region.
Driving Collaboration for Growth
At the heart of the discussions was a shared understanding: Nordic data centre growth depends on closer collaboration between construction, energy, and technology partners.
With demand for hyperscale and edge infrastructure rapidly accelerating, the industry faces both opportunity and responsibility — to scale efficiently, sustainably, and in harmony with local communities.
Patrick emphasized how Salboheds’ expertise in groundwork and civil engineering enables partners to deliver data centre projects faster, cleaner, and more efficiently, supporting both environmental goals and business objectives.
Turning Sustainability Ambition into Action
Sustainability was a central theme throughout the meeting. Participants shared actionable strategies to improve energy efficiency, reduce embodied carbon, and design for circularity — all critical to ensuring the Nordic region remains a global benchmark for green digital infrastructure.
Salboheds’ commitment to low-carbon construction, resource optimization, and resilient project delivery reflects this same ambition. By combining innovative engineering methods with strong collaboration across sectors, Salboheds continues to help hyperscale clients and public-sector partners turn climate goals into measurable progress.
Innovation, Partnership, and Shared Purpose
Reflecting on the event, Patrick noted the powerful sense of shared purpose across the Swedish and Nordic data centre community.
“It’s inspiring to see so many leaders focused not only on growth but on ensuring that growth is responsible, sustainable, and collaborative. That alignment of vision is what drives lasting progress.”
— Patrick Walsh, Chief Innovation Officer, Salboheds
As Nordic Datacentre Week 2025 demonstrated, the region’s success will depend on strong partnerships and continuous innovation. Salboheds remains deeply committed to supporting this momentum — providing innovative groundwork, infrastructure, and sustainability-driven engineering that enables the next generation of Nordic data centres.
